What Works in SihatSuite During an Internet Outage?

The main website needs a connection

The browser-based application uses the server for records and transactions. An open page is not a guarantee that new work will save without internet. Keep a backup connection where possible, and test the specific workflow you need during the trial.

Field Agent app

After initial setup and sign-in, the Field Agent app keeps supported visit and registration work on the phone for later sync. Review location and background permissions so the phone can record the required visit evidence. Reconnect and check upload status rather than assuming that work visible on the phone has already reached the office.

Pharmacy POS app

The configured Pharmacy POS app can work from downloaded stock and queue supported sales for replay when connected. Other counters may have sold stock in the meantime, so a queued sale can need reconciliation. Check pending and failed sync items after reconnecting. Offline stock is a snapshot, not a live guarantee of what another cashier can sell.

Lab Bridge

Lab Bridge stores received analyser runs on the lab PC and uploads them when connectivity returns. Its saved queue can survive a restart; the PC and analyser still need power to receive new work. Cached worklists support local binding, but server report review, approval and delivery need a connection. A technician must review the uploaded result before it becomes an approved report.

Before and after an outage

• Install, sign in and download the required data while online; do not wait for an outage to set up a device.
• Keep the device powered and protect its storage. Do not clear app data or uninstall while work is unsynced.
• After reconnecting, verify uploads and resolve rejected or conflicting entries before assuming the day is reconciled.
• Contact support with the affected workflow and sync status if work remains pending.
