Can I use this for only a pharmacy, without a diagnostic centre?+
Yes. The Pharmacy module stands on its own at ৳1,250 a month. A retail medicine shop gets the counter, batch and expiry tracking, supplier purchases and due, customer records, staff logins with permissions, and the cash book and profit-loss accounting — and none of the lab screens it would never open. If you already run a diagnostic centre with SihatSuite, pharmacy attaches to your existing subscription at the same price.
How does it stop expired medicine being sold?+
Every batch carries its expiry date, and the counter allocates stock nearest-expiry-first. A batch past its date is removed from the sellable pool entirely — it cannot be reached by the automatic pick, by choosing a batch by hand, or by putting a returned strip back on the shelf. You also set how many days ahead you want to be warned; a fast-moving chemist may want 15 days, a shop with slow lines 90.
Can I sell loose tablets from a strip?+
Yes, that is the normal case rather than an exception. Each product records how many tablets are in a strip and how many strips in a box. You buy in boxes and sell in tablets, and the software converts both ways — stock is always held in single units and shown back to you as strips and boxes so it reads the way you speak.
How is profit calculated on a free-goods deal?+
When you receive a purchase, the cost of the goods is spread over everything that entered stock, including the free units and after any discount on the bill. A box costing ৳100 with one free box and ৳200 off the bill does not cost ৳1.00 a tablet — the software works out what it actually cost and uses that figure for every sale from that batch, so gross profit is not overstated.
Can I keep surgical and non-medicine items in the same shop?+
Yes. Medicines are picked from the 30,000-drug catalogue so they carry the right brand, strength and pack. Surgical items, devices, baby food and cosmetics have no such catalogue, so you name them yourself — one at a time, or by importing a spreadsheet. Everything after that is identical: batches, expiry, barcodes, selling and reporting.
Does it work with a barcode scanner?+
Yes. Any ordinary USB barcode scanner works — scanning at the counter finds the product and drops it into the sale. A product can carry more than one barcode, which matters when the manufacturer's code and a code your shop prints itself both need to work.
What happens to stock if a sale is cancelled or returned?+
A return puts the units back into the batch they came from, unless the medicine is expired or damaged — that is quarantined instead of resold. Cancelling a whole sale returns all of its stock and keeps the payment record for the audit trail, while removing that money from your income. Nothing financial is ever deleted.
How much does the pharmacy module cost?+
৳1,250 a month, with no setup fee and a free trial before you pay. That is the same price whether you run the pharmacy on its own or add it to a diagnostic centre subscription you already have.
